Faith’s First day of 1st Grade!

I woke Faith up at 6:30am.  She was sleepy, but not grouchy!  I made her some toast and sausage links with a glass of chocolate milk.  Then, she brushed her teeth and got dressed.  Our morning routine was in full swing!  She was fine… until I said, “Ok! It’s time to go!”

Her smile disappeared and she got a little teary eyed, BUT she didn’t cry!  We drove to school and we talked about how her teachers know and love her.  As we pulled up to the doors, the Headmaster opened the car door, smiled and said, “Hi Faith!”  She smiled and said, “Hi.”  Then off she went!  Up the stairs!

When I picked her up, she said she had a good day and, “I didn’t cry.”  Yay!!!   A great day for sure!!!

Parent Teacher Orientation Day

Faith’s school had an ice cream social yesterday.  We skipped the ice cream because of her food allergies (and she seemed ok with that.)  We just went straight up to her classroom to drop off her school supplies and meet with her new teacher.

Faith’s new teacher is very sweet, and we discussed Faith’s allergies while she was checking out her new desk :)

Faith’s first day of 1st grade starts tomorrow!  She’s excited, but still a little nervous.  However, I’m confident that this year will be easier for her!  She already knows many children and teachers.  There’s lots of familiar faces and friends!

I’m excited for her, and just hope and pray this year will be a year of health and happiness for her!

Josephine also wanted a picture sitting at a desk! :)
