End of summer, and back to class.

Aaron and I went to Hobby Lobby to shop for a few bushel baskets to plant our mums in.  I can’t believe it’s already September, and Halloween is next month!

The semester has started, and I’m back to studying, studying, and studying.   I have an assignment in Interpersonal communications 102 where I have to spend at least an hour immersing myself into a different culture, and then write about what I have learned.

I decided to go to our local Art Museum where they have on display many different items from all over the world.  It was lots of fun.

I can’t wait for the day when I have my bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. I hope and pray that if we are ever blessed with a child, that I may be able to be with my child during the school day, and work in the same school he/she attends.  It would be a dream come true!

Pregnant Dance

A friend posted a funny YouTube video on Facebook the other day. Here is the description of the video …

“This is a video of my wife Tiffany who is 9 months pregnant! She had just gotten her hair cut earlier that day and decided to get bangs. Well later that night she was taking off a headband and it looked like she had a mullet! So, she put a raisin on her tooth, I grabbed the camera and…well..you can see what happened next…”

Divorce Cakes

I got an email today from a friend.  The pictures are funny, but then I realized it’s not very funny at all.

Here is the email…

Divorce Cakes
I’m guessing this one was mutual :)

This chick looks like a diva and he may have tried to Tame her:)

kicked him to the curb – clothes and all – hilarious!

Guess he didn’t get anything in the divorce settlement ….

notice she is wearing black

yuck, incompatibility strikes again .

notice the ring in the coffin – !!!

TOO FUNNY!

After reading this email again, it actually infuriates me.  No wonder the divorce rate is so high!  Divorce is being celebrated.  This further trivializes the institution of Marriage.

Is this really how women feel today?   If so, the problem isn’t the husbands.  The problem is the wives.

Proverbs 12:4  “A wife of noble character is her husband’s crown, but a disgraceful wife is like decay in his bones.”

Even if you were blameless in the ending of your marriage, it should be grieved like it was a death.  Divorce should be viewed as a tragic ending to the vows you made before God.  Doesn’t this matter to anyone anymore?

Go ahead girls… continue making your celebratory divorce cakes,  and someday your children will look forward to the day when they get to make their own.  What fun.
