Can you believe it’s already November? I realize I haven’t blogged much. If any of my readers would like to see more photos or updates on how me and my family are doing, send me a friend request on Facebook!
I had a WONDERFUL October! Hubby, Faith, and I visited a local pumpkin patch. Faith and I carved a pumpkin together. Also, for the past few weeks I was busy making Faith’s Halloween costume. She was Little Red Riding Hood! I began crocheting her red hooded cape… but then realized that the pattern was not turning out quite right. So… I figured I would go to Joann Fabrics, buy some red velvet material, and try making one that way. I had never made anything out of fabric before, and was happily surprised at how it turned out! Red satin lined the inside, red velvet was on the outside. I bought a decorative metal clasp to place at the neck. I added satin roses along the bottom edge of the cape. The details made it perfect!
I bought her a Wizard of Oz Dorothy dress on sale. I wanted it to look more like a Little Red Riding Hood dress, so I also made a little apron to tie around her waist. I bought a little basket for only $1. I used some leftover red velvet to line her basket. She magically became Little Red Riding Hood!
And the best part… Aaron was the Big Bad Wolf!
Faith was not scared at all of the mask. When we first pulled it out of the bag, we told her it was a doggy. She held the mask, and explored its face. She was very interested in it. When Aaron put on the mask, and gloves, he barked like a harmless puppy and she smiled. She never became afraid. She always knew it was her daddy :)
Here are more photos of our visit to the pumpkin patch, trick-or-treating, and Halloween photos!
When we got home, I got her in her pajamas, just in time to sit and watch “It’s the Great Pumpkin! Charlie Brown!” It was a wonderful evening :)
I hope you all had a fun Halloween, and I hope you enjoyed my pictures, and videos! Now let’s get ready for THANKSGIVING!!! :)
